| Aleks holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University and a law degree from the University of Windsor. Prior to law school, Aleks worked for Crown Victim Services and was a coordinator for the Burnaby RCMP Victim Services. After law school, Aleks worked for the Residential Tenancy Office in Burnaby hearing cases involving landlord-tenant disputes. Aleks was responsible for making decisions on how these disputes would be resolved. Aleks practices general litigation with an emphasis on insurance defence and family law. She has appeared in Supreme Court of British Columbia chambers and the Provincial Court of British Columbia on a variety of matters. She has conducted numerous settlement conferences in the Provincial Court, Small Claims. In her spare time, Aleks likes to travel, hike and ski. |
