 | Andrew Sandilands became a partner of DuMoulin Boskovich in 1998. Andy's practice deals largely with commercial matters, with an emphasis on litigation. He has appeared in courts at all levels in this Province, from Provincial court to the Court of Appeal. He has also appeared before the Tax Court of Canada, the Commercial Appeals Commission, the Environmental Appeals Commission, the Financial Institutions Commission, the Immigration Appeal Board and a number of other administrative tribunals.
Andy's work encompasses a variety of commercial areas, including company law, contract law, fishing and licensing matters, and dealing with disputes arising from such matters, but most recently it has focussed upon matters involving real estate transactions, and wills and estates.
Andy was born and began his schooling in England, but was raised in Vancouver and graduated from the University of British Columbia with a B.A. in 1965 and a law degree in 1968. He was called to the bar in B.C. in 1969. He was a partner in another firm in Vancouver for over fifteen years before joining us. He has been called to the bar in the Republic of Vanuatu, a south Pacific international banking centre.
Over the years Andy has been active in the community. He is a former director of the Canadian Club of Vancouver, is active in local politics, provides volunteer service for several charities, is a director of the West Vancouver Community Centres Services Society, and has been a participant in a number of sports. He is married and has four daughters. |
