During his 25+ years in private practice, Eric has acted for a wide variety of clients in the business, financial, professional and artistic fields. Eric was born in Montreal and raised in Toronto. He attended the University of Waterloo in the Environmental Studies program and in 1976 was seconded from there for 15 months to the Ontario Ministry of Energy as a researcher and policy advisor. Eric received an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 1980, was called to the Alberta bar in 1981 and was called to the BC bar in 1987.

Eric first practised as an associate with a major Calgary law firm, then as an associate and partner with a national law firm in Vancouver and, in 1993, was a founding member of a small firm in Vancouver, where he practised for the 11 years prior to joining DuMoulin Boskovich.

Eric is a member of the Entertainment and Business Law sections of the Canadian Bar Association. He has also previously served as a Director of several publicly-traded corporations.

Eric has travelled extensively, particularly in developing nations. He enjoys sports, including golf and skiing, as well as long walks on the beach.
