Jon was called to the bar in 1997 after serving his articles at DuMoulin Boskovich. Since being called to the bar, Jon has developed considerable litigation experience, representing clients at mediations and every level of Court in British Columbia. The main focus of his practice is insurance law, primarily from the defence side. He also acts in commercial litigation matters, particularly in the area of employment law, where he has represented both employees and employers.

As a result of his experience, Jon has also been retained by the Law Society's Practice Standards Committee to conduct practice reviews on its behalf. The Practice Standards Committee is committed to promoting and enhancing the competency of British Columbia lawyers. In appropriate cases, it will order practice reviews where the Law Society has received complaints about a lawyer that raises concerns about the lawyer's quality of practice. When conducting practice reviews, Jon will meet with the lawyer, evaluate the lawyer's files, procedures and office systems, and report back to the Committee.

Jon is a Calgary native who completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa before attending law school at the University of Alberta. Immediately before joining DuMoulin Boskovich, he obtained an M.B.A. in Finance from U.B.C. While in business school, Jon gained valuable experience when he was chosen by the Dean of Commerce to intern with the Executive Director of the British Columbia Securities Commission, analysing several aspects of our province's capital markets.

In addition to playing goal on his recreational hockey team, Jon enjoys playing tennis and traveling whenever he gets the opportunity.
