Perry Mazzone

Perry Mazzone joined DuMoulin Boskovich LLP in 2007 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1984. Since that time he has worked exclusively as litigation counsel, primarily in the area of corporate/commercial disputes but also in areas involving shareholder disputes, professional liability (lawyers / accountants /financial planners), securities law, banking and insolvency, employment law and estate litigation. He also has an active personal injury practice.

Perry is a litigation generalist, meaning that he practices in a number of areas and works in the tradition of classic English barristers who do not specialize but take on causes in various legal areas. Although Perry has broad experience in commercial disputes, securities litigation and personal injury claims, it is felt that a general practice results in a wider knowledge of the law and a greater understanding of unique issues which arise in individual cases.

Perry has given advice and conducted numerous trials and appeals on a variety of matters, including breach of contract claims, negligent misrepresentation, fraud, professional negligence and breach of fiduciary duty. From very early on in his career he was involved with and argued cases of significance and which appear in the published law reports.

Perry is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Civil Litigation (Vancouver) Section of the B.C. Branch of the Association. He was on the Executive of that Section and was Chair of the Section in 1995-1996. He has also sat as a member of or chair of a number of committees reviewing various legislation and court rules and has a prestigious BV (Distinguished) rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
