Andrew Sandilands became a partner of Dumoulin Boskovich LLP in 1998 and retired in December of 2018. Andy’s work encompassed a variety of commercial areas, including company law, contract law, fishing and licensing matters, and dealing with disputes arising from such matters. He had most recently focused his practice upon matters involving real estate transactions, and wills and estates.

Andy had appeared in every level of court in British Columbia, from Provincial Court to the Court of Appeal. He had also appeared before the Tax Court of Canada, the Commercial Appeals Commission, the Environmental Appeals Commission, the British Columbia Securities Commission, the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada, the Financial Institutions Commission, the Immigration Appeal Board and a number of other administrative tribunals.

Over the years Andy had been active in the community, being involved in local politics, and providing volunteer service for several charities. He had been a director of the Canadian Club of Vancouver and a director of the West Vancouver Community Centers Services Society, and had been a participant in a number of sports. He is married and has four daughters. Besides work, Andy enjoyed tennis, squash, sailing and walking.
