Douglas Qi

Douglas Qi’s practice focuses on Business Law, Real Estate, and Wills, Estates, and Trusts, serving a diverse clientele with complex domestic and cross-border needs. With legal experience across China, Canada, and the United States, he offers clients a global perspective on complex transactions and cross border matters. His background as a serial entrepreneur adds a business-owner mindset to his legal work, enabling him to craft practical, strategic, and bottom-line-focused solutions for his clients.

Earlier in his career, he served as an Associate Professor of Law at China University of Political Science and Law, where he taught American law and mentored future legal professionals.

Born and raised in mainland China, Douglas earned his B.S. in Applied Chemistry from Peking University and later received his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1999. He began his legal career in Silicon Valley, advising technology companies, before returning to China to counsel multinational clients on market entry and compliance issues.

Outside of his legal practice, Douglas is an endurance cyclist and triathlete, having completed his 1st full-distance Ironman race in October 2025 and his 2nd 1000km bike ride in May 2026.

齐律师出生并成长于中国大陆，他在北京大学获得了应用化学学士学位，随后于1999年获得耶鲁大学法学院法学博士(J.D.)学位。他的法律职业生涯始于硅谷，当时主要为科技公司提供咨询服务；随后他回到中国，为跨国公司就市场准入和合规问题提供法律建议。

在律师执业之外，齐律师还是一位耐力骑行爱好者和铁人三项运动员。他于2025年10月完成了他的首场全程铁人三项(Ironman)比赛，并于2026年5月完成了他的第二次千公里骑行。
